welcome

Thank you for coming to the website of Noah Kroese. I am a freelance illustrator available for private or commercial work. This site has a wide range of examples of that work, from editorial cartoons to oil paintings. Take a look around.

Like the design of the site? It was made possible by the good people at Rocket Surgery design.

bio

I've been drawing for as long as I can remember (So, at least since last Thursday). I received my B.F.A. in drawing and painting in 2004 after four years and some change. While pursuing my undergraduate degree, I drew liberal editorial cartoons for various publications in the most conservative state in the union (Idaho). This is the intellectual equivalent of doing the breaststroke through a swimming pool of starving dingoes in a Speedo made from bacon.

I am currently illustrating for different magazines, newspapers, and private parties around the country while simultaneously illustrating a children's book. I work in several mediums including pen and ink, watercolor, oil, and graphite. My subject matter ranges from cartoons and graphic novel illustrations to photorealism. I am always available for new commissions and would love to hear from you. So drop me a line if you'd like me to draw something for you or if you just want to talk some shop.

yeti

Freddy the Spaghetti Yeti is a children's book on which I am currently working. It is about a Yeti who buys a spaghetti-making machine that goes crazy and fills his house with pasta. My friend, graphic designer Nick Hopkins, is responsible for the original concept. The illustrations seen here are watercolors, however there is a good possibility I will re-do them as oil illustrations.
